To kick the marathon off we packed up the Oppo bar, squeezed a weekend’s worth of Oppo into the van and drove to Olympia.

We were exhibiting at the BBC Good Food Show Winter, the tastiest weekend in the capital. Home to hundreds of exhibitors, thousands of visitors and just one guilt-free ice cream.

We had a blast. Thousands of Oppo-tasters given out, no broken freezers and many happy customers. Result.

Oppo team ice cream consumption was also above average. That’s a lot of ice cream.

Sunday night was met with a sigh of relief and a deep breath. We were half way.

By Monday evening we’d been back to Oppo HQ, restocked the freezers, driven to the ExCel Exhibition Centre and set-up (again) the Oppo bar.

We were exhibiting at Food Matters Live. Bringing together the food and drink industry, the aim was to consider the relationship between food, health and nutrition and their connections with the environment, population health and well-being. Right up our street.

We loved it. Still no broken freezers and three days of interesting debate. Oppo philosophy is using natural ingredients to make indulgent foods guilt-free and opinion is changing – you don’t need to eat unhealthily if you want to eat indulgently. Here’s to full-on, luxury, guilt-free indulgence.
