Shortlisted for Nectar Awards!

Summer is coming to an end but what a summer it’s been. Besides eating plenty of ice cream we’ve won new listings with Holland & Barrett, Budgens (and have another major retailer to announce soon); exhibited at Hampton Court Good Food Show; won Guardian Start-up of the Year; had national coverage in Vogue, OK!, Grazia and Daily Mail; partnered with Virign to launch their new app; and displayed our first advert on over 200 London black cabs (for free).

Even though Autumn has now officially started we’re not suffering from the post-summer blues as we’ve been short-listed for the Nectar Innovation of the Year Award!

Oppo is innovation. From the very beginning product has always been king. As you know we believe in no compromise. That’s why it took Charlie 25 months of research, we could have launched earlier but first we knew the importance of prioritising the quality of the product over everything else.

It’s fantastic to have been short-listed for an award with such a diverse and prestigious judging panel made up of TV Dragon Sarah Willingham, Senior Executives from Nectar, Brakes and Dulux along with last year’s Nectar Small Business Award winner.

At Oppo we’re not planning on stopping at ice cream. Our philosophy is that if we can make ice cream guilt-free, what’s next? We’d invest the prize money directly into research and development, enabling us to continue innovating and bringing more indulgent, yet guilt-free products to as many people as possible.

We’re still a tiny team but have a clear goal of  getting Oppo into as many hearts, minds (and mouths…!) as possible. To have our innovation publicly recognised by Nectar would be incredible.
